Parents are kept informed about what their children are learning, how to help at home, how their children are progressing during the year, and how to work with the kindergarten to solve any problems their children might face. For daily messages the Kindergartens operate a Communication Book (or diary) that allows parents and the class teacher to stay in touch. Special events, changes to children’s routines and family news are often noted in these communication books.
The regular newsletters provide information on what is happening in the kindergarten, plans for the upcoming week or month, and other information that may interest parents. In addition, class teachers may send class newsletters and emails with information specific to their class.
The parents’ login on the kindergartens’ website provides additional information about what’s happening at each kindergarten. Regular updates on planning and the programme are available along with information and photos showing what the children have been doing in kindergarten.
